What class should I sign up for?

Level 1 — Start here! If this is your first off-road training or you’ve never taken a formal training class before, Level 1 will get your dirt skills dialed. Even if you’ve got years under your belt, Level 1 classes will refresh you on the basics and set you up for success in Level 2. You can also benefit from taking the Level 1 class if you’ve taken it in the past, but haven’t really practiced the skills much or it’s been a while since you have.  There’s value to repeating a class when you’re trying to master the skills!

Level 2 — Kick it up a notch! If you’ve taken training with Shal or other qualified instructors, you can start here, but keep in mind that SheADV training is sequential and each class builds on the previous skills. Balance and control are key in Level 2 and we’ll be working through more challenging drills. If you have any doubts at all, sign up for Level 1 and 2 and we’ll build those skills together!

What’s the schedule?

You can take all four days to build skills gradually, or choose one or more days. Shal will meet you where you are at in your ADV journey! This is essential training every woman rider should take every year.

Day 1 – Thursday, June 27, 2024 – 12-4pm
SheADV All-Women’s Training — Level 1 - Part 1

This is your starting line to adventure riding! Develop confidence and skills, learn the building blocks to safely increase the riding fun factor. Highly recommended if you have never taken an off-street training course. This class is also good to take as a refresher course. These 4 hours will set you up for success by building the foundation to managing your bike. We will work on skills for balance and control.

Day 2 – Friday, June 28, 2024 – 8-12pm
SheADV All-Women’s Training — Level 1 - Part 2

Part 2 is designed to follow Part 1 skills and drills as we amp up on building the foundation for controlling your bike. We will continue to work on skills for balance and control and get into maximum braking.

Day 3 – Saturday, June 29, 2024 – 8-12pm
SheADV All-Women’s Training — Level 2 - Part 1

Once you have mastered body positioning, balancing the bike and have good control on the controls (and we mean REALLY GOOD control) let’s take those skills and work on maximum braking and swerving at higher speeds, more challenging balance and control drills.

Day 4 – Sunday, June 30, 2024 – 8-12pm
SheADV All-Women’s Training — Level 2 - Part 2

This will be an action packed morning putting all the skills and drills to the test. We will have an obstacle course designed to challenge you, but not defeat you. This will be your “final exam” that will allow you to put what you’ve learned and apply it to many different levels of challenges where your strengths will shine and opportunities for more growth will present themselves.

SheADV Lead Instructor, Shal Wilson, is a professional on- and off-street instructor and has been training adventure riders for 7 years. Between her instructional expertise and the supportive all women environment, you’re guaranteed to take your riding skills to the next level. Shal's training focuses on building a strong foundation of balance, control, bike setup, body position, and peg weight steering. Her commonsense approach to riding will give you the tools you need to manage backcountry terrain and become the rider you want to be. Whether you have experience or not, you will learn how to better master your bike during this training, which in turn, will increase your FUN FACTOR!

Please be aware that you’ll also need a Touratech Rally Ticket… you can get that HERE!
