The Optimus Crux is a durable and dependable canister stove with a unique storage trick. The Crux has a folding burner head, making it one of the most compact canister stoves on the market. It comes in a soft case that will nest in the space under a fuel canister, which is huge space savings. This stove has great simmer control and quick burner times – the powerful and stable 3000w burner has a very fast boil. The 2-inch diameter burner distributes heat for a wide flame distribution, so less chance of spot burning your meal. Serrated pot supports provide increased stability.

The Optimus Terra Weekend HE Cook set consists of a .95L (32oz) pot with a lid that doubles as a fry pan. I love the stackability of the kit, and the fact that it’s light weight (5.17 oz) hard anodized aluminum quality.  The pour spout and measuring marks on pot make life on the trail easier.
