SA Where is your favorite ride and why?

SA Why do you ride or want to ride on 2-wheels?
DQ Freedom. I can go just about anywhere on my bike.
SA Have you always been driven to explore adventurous activities?
DQ I grew up with three older brothers and no sisters – I never thought I couldn’t do something just because I was a girl. I climbed trees, dove off the platform at the pool, and have always loved a good thrill – maybe a bit of an adrenaline junkie!
SA What would you like to see more of when it comes to the women’s riding world?
DQ I’m not very tall – so it would be great to have more variety in the size of bikes and the gear for women.
SA What gets you out of bed in the morning?
DQ That darned alarm clock!
SA If you could ride anywhere next year, where would it be and why?
DQ I would love to explore Vancouver Island, BC
SA What was your worst day on a motorcycle?
DQ It’s a tie between two days. One was my first 300-mile day on a 100 mile seat – I didn’t want to sit at all for a while and the thought of riding the next day was no fun! The other day had high winds along the coast, with sand blowing up under my helmet and into my eyes. Both days were a big challenge and taught me I could handle more that I thought I could!
SA Favorite food?
DQ Steak and baked potato
SA What age did you learn to ride a motorcycle?
DQ I was 49 when I learned to ride. It’s never too late to try something new!
SA Favorite post-ride beverage?
DQ Water! Maybe a little apple pie or fireball.
