HZ XT 225 and KTM 500EXC
SA Where is your favorite ride and why?
HZ Truly don’t have a favorite ride since each one is so different.
SA What or who inspired you to ride a motorcycle?
HZ My brother.
SA Why do you ride or want to ride on 2-wheels?
HZ I ride because it gives me confidence, allows me to be me and brings a smile to my face every time.
SA Have you always been driven to explore adventurous activities?
SA What would you like to see more of when it comes to the women’s riding world?
HZ Women just riding to ride.
SA What gets you out of bed in the morning?
HZ The thought of a new day to explore.
SA If you could ride anywhere next year, where would it be and why?
HZ Peru for climbing
SA What was your worst day on a motorcycle?
HZ Probably what has to be the worse day on my motorcycle was realizing that my BMW 800 was not for me. It was on a dirt road in Washington and I really wanted to go down a road that looked like it had some interesting terrain but I was intimidated by the bike and it’s size. I was heart broken to realize that the bike I had spent so much time and money on wasn’t for me. That a smaller more capable bike was what I needed. It turned out to be the best day realizing it down the road but at that moment it truly felt horrible.
SA Favorite motorcycle book?
HZ The Mouse and The Motorcycle. As silly as it may seem it is a classic.
SA Favorite food?
HZ A pie and coffee in a small town cafe.
SA What age did you learn to ride a motorcycle?
SA Favorite post-ride beverage?
HZ A good craft beer or a Moscow mule.
SA Funniest thing that ever happened to you while on a ride?
HZ There have been some interesting times, one that really sticks out is riding in Montana on a remote back road and being chased by three pronghorn.
SA What is the most important advice you have ever received?
HZ To not fall into the kool aid syndrome of being in the herd. To be an individual.

HZ Better at turning, tuning my bike and changing my tires out.

HZ Riding to climb some remote areas, Riding more confidently alone and seeing the world with more appreciation.
