SA Where do you currently live? Why do you live there?
PK Austin, Texas. Moved here to be close to my grandkids. The fact that it is amazing motorcycling country made it an easy decision.
SA What or who inspired you to ride a motorcycle?
PK My dad was a Harley rider. As far back as I can recall, I wanted to ride a motorcycle.
SA What bike(s) do you own?
PK BMW700GS, Triumph Bonneville T100. Just sold my BMW RNineT and looking for replacement bike.
SA Are you part of a women’s riding group? If so, which one(s)?
PK Texas GS Girls, The Litas.
SA Where is your favorite ride and why?
PK Oh boy – I love Lime Creek Road and 1431 because they are close to home and I feel like I’m on holiday when I ride these roads.
SA Why do you ride or want to ride on 2-wheels?
PK The total feeling of freedom
SA Have you always been drive to explore adventurous activities?
PK Yes. I have been chased by elephants while on foot in Botswana. I had a close call with a buffalo in Zimbabwe.
SA What would you like to see more of when it comes to the women’s riding world?
PK Acceptance that we are legit. Stop the stereotype of giving us pink tee shirts. I’m tired of buying men’s gear – I would love to have decent, good-looking, decent fitting gear in a variety of styles and colors.
SA What gets you out of bed in the morning?
PK Curiosity. I’m still learning and discovering so many new things.
SA If you could ride anywhere next year, where would it be and why?
PK South America – it fascinates me and I’ve never been. Any place will do but if money wasn’t an issue, I would love to do 6 month trip exploring continent.
SA Do you personally operate or work at a women owned/operated moto related website, blog or business that you would like to tell folks about?
PK Nope, but would love to!
SA What was your worse day on a motorcycle?
PK Worst day? When I was told I passed my MC license test just to be handed a piece of paper with failed stamped in red on it.
SA What is your favorite food?
PK Roasted veggies.
SA What age did you learn to ride a motorcycle?
PK As a teen I rode then stopped after my first marriage. I promised myself I would ride again once kids finished school. So, in 2007 at age 51 I started the painful process of getting my license in the middle East.
SA Funniest thing that ever happened to you while on a ride?
PK Riding solo in Oman, the total look of panic on a man’s face when he served me at a gas station and I took my helmet off and he realized I was female.
SA Favorite post ride beverage?
PK Cup of tea.

Ride to California and do Highway One.
Plan road trip that will allow me to visit all the states of USA and Canada.
