BJ Hessler - DC Dirt Camp
B.J. Hessler, MSPH, PMP is the founder and head coach of DC Dirt Camp, one of the largest off-road motorcycle training schools on the East Coast. After a successful career in healthcare administration, BJ followed her passion for motorcycling and launched DC Dirt Camp in 2018. She is an MSF-certified Dirt Bike Coach with over 30 years of riding experience, offering comprehensive instruction for beginner to advanced riders, including women-specific courses.
With a strong focus on safety, body mechanics, and confidence-building, BJ has trained under some of the top names in ADV coaching and developed her own ADV curriculum. Known for her inclusive, skills-based approach and signature “Smile Production” mindset, BJ continues to grow the DC Dirt Camp program—now based on her own farm in Virginia—with expanded coaching staff, a large fleet of bikes, and a growing national presence at rallies and events.
She is a valued SheADV Trainers Roundtable participant and passionate advocate for making off-road riding more accessible to women of all backgrounds.
